Services

Capitol Cleaners & Launderers offers a full range of services to clean practically anything. Below is a list of some of the services we offer and a description of each. If you have questions about an item, just ask.

NEXT DAY SERVICE
We offer next day shirt cleaning service when orders are brought in by 9:00 am, Monday through Thursday.

Shirts can be folded and boxed or on hangers.

DRY CLEANING
Dry cleaning is the process of cleaning garments without the use of water. Instead of water, a special chemical is used that is gentle on the material and actually prolongs the life of the garment because it removes stains and ground-in dirt which cause fiber abrasion. Other advantages of dry cleaning are its ability to remove grease and oil stains and the fact that it doesn't cause most fibers to shrink or lose their color as washing does.

 HOUSEHOLD ITEMS CLEANED
We professionally clean comforters, sleeping bags, sheets, tablecloths, napkins, curtains, area rugs, and even pillows!

OUTER WEAR CLEANING
Leather Garments, as well as Ski Wear, Rainwear Scarves, Hats and Mittens.

 ALTERATIONS
We offer onsite alterations ranging from shortening pants to zippers and buttons.

LAUNDRY
We also have a full commercial laundry department to process shirts, cotton pants and other wet-cleanable items. Water temperature is monitored by computer and soap is computer-injected at the precise moment to provide optimal results.

HAND WASH
We take extra care of your delicate hand washable garments with our specially formulated PH balanced soaps and actually gets our hands dirty to give you the best, most gentle cleaning of your fine washables

PRESERVATION
Wedding gowns, christening gowns, and other family heirlooms. Preservation is a special type of storage that helps prolong the life of a garment for years and years.

INSPECTION
Before any garment is returned to you, we inspect it to ensure that it meets our standards. If there is a problem, the garment it sent back to receive further attention.

ODOR REMOVAL
We specialize in odor removal and flood and fire restoration of water- or smoke-damaged items. We use ozone generators to do an ozone treatment. The contact between ozone and the odors embedded in the clothes causes oxidation to reoccur, resulting in the elimination of the odors and the release of oxygen. This is a safe and effective process.

STAIN REMOVAL
We use complex procedures and special stain removal chemicals to remove stains. Stains are divided into two major categories: solvent-soluble stains and water-soluble stains. Different stains require different treatments, which our stain removal specialists are trained to administer.
